In response to new technology taking place in many organizations, this thesis intends to contribute to the literature of technology adoption. The current study applies the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology and extends the model by adding different digital mindsets, such as growth/fixed digital mindset and zero-sum/expandable-sum digital mindset. The aim is to investigate to what extent digital mindsets may influence employee’s technology acceptance and their intention to use new technology. This study relies on a cross-sectional design and examines 87 HR workers in a company that is in the process of implementing a new digital HRM system. The findings show that performance expectancy, social influence, and effort expectancy, has a strong positive influence on employees’ intention to use new technology. This study contributes to the research field of information technology by providing valuable insights about individuals' technology acceptance, and to better understand how new technology can be introduced successfully in the workplace. Also, it serves as a foundation for future research on technology acceptance, and employee’s intentions to use new technology. Practical implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research are discussed.
