Even though burnout has been a hot topic of research for decades, little is known about how the construct is influenced by an individual's view of stress. In this thesis, we will attempt to further the collective knowledge of these influences, while controlling for the level of telecommuting an employee is engaged in. A cross-sectional survey was presented to a sample size totaling 166 respondents. We utilized the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT) for assessing the burnout levels of respondents. The survey was translated and provided to the respondents with both the original and a translated Norwegian version. The stress mindset measure (SMM) was utilized for measuring stress mindset. Our results indicate a negative relationship between one’s stress mindset and total burnout score. Also, two out of the four dimensions showed a significant relationship to the construct. Lastly, we were able to achieve sufficient reliability scores but were not able to replicate the levels of the original in the translated version of the BAT.en_US
